Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

The other night I had a craving for cooking hubby said he would make them (don't cringe he can follow recipe) so I pull out my forever old Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe one my grandmother used to make for me.

Well he doesn't use it! he found this recipe and changed it to fit what we had it he cupboard. Let me say when he said he put in pudding I looked at him like he had 3 head. My mouth was watering for my grandmother's cookies. But with a Semi open mind I gave these a try. He made 3 dozen they were gone in 2 days. I didn't eat them all I swear the kids helped!

The Recipe below is his edited version.

Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

23 cup butter (margarine softened)
12 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 chocolate pudding Cups (the individual cups)
2 eggs
3 tbsps water
3 cups all-purpose flour (purpose)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
12 ozs miniature semisweet chocolate chips

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, oil and sugars until light and fluffy. Add pudding, eggs and water; mix well. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the chocolate mixture (dough will be stiff). Stir in the chocolate chips.

Roll into 1-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 9-11 minutes or until set and edges are firm. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
